Ways to Participate in Kol HaLev
There are many ways to participate in creating the Kol HaLev community! Here are just a few:
- Religious Practices Planning and Evaluation
- Tikkun Olam / Social Action (e.g. Greater Cleveland Congregations, Climate Action)
- Adult Education Committee: Study Groups, Discussions, Speakers
- Holiday celebrations: Sukkot, Hanukkah, Purim, Tu B’shvat, etc.
- Lay leading for services, Torah study, Torah chanting, shiva minyanim
- Membership Help: Get to know members and support their engagement in the community
- Finance/Budgeting
- Fundraising and Special Fundraising Events
- Youth & Family Education: Planning, Programs & Policies for Kol HaLev children
- Teach in Hagiga / Children’s Education Program
- Offer your home for services, holidays, classes or meetings
- Special Events Planning (Scholar-in-Residence weekends, Shabbatonim, etc.)
- Administrative and tech support
- Women’s Group Brunches
- Host a Kiddush
- Hesed / Lovingkindness (e.g. making meals, light shopping, phone calls, attend a shiva minyan)
- Safety Corps/Greeter (welcome members and guests to in-person events and support communal safety)
